With Article 4 of Law No. 7431, which was enacted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12/01/2023, regarding the minimum wage support, a provisional Article 93 was added to Law No. 5510. With this article;

1) In 2023, for workplaces registered before 2023, minimum wage support will be provided for the period of January to June 2023 in an amount calculated by multiplying the number of working days of all insured persons subject to long-term insurance branches by 13.33 TL per day, for those with a daily earnings base of 250 TL, for workplaces of private sector employers subject to a collective bargaining agreement 500 TL, and for workplaces where lignite and hard coal are extracted 667 TL and below; for workplaces registered in 2023, the same calculation applies to all insured persons subject to long-term insurance branches.

2) If it is determined that in the relevant month, a declaration of earnings base has been made that is deficient by an amount not exceeding one-tenth of the monthly gross minimum wage for 2023 (1000.8 TL), the minimum wage support application will continue for workplaces that remedy this deficiency within a fifteen-day period following a warning issued by the Social Security Institution (SGK).

3) The discount amount to be provided through minimum wage support will be offset against insurance premium debts arising from the following month(s).
